What is Bazaarpa (BPC)
Bazaarpa is a Layer-1 blockchain. That means it is not a token living on top of another chain. It has its own ledger, its own network of nodes, its own rules and its own native coin, BPC.
The whole network software is written in Rust, a language chosen for reliability and speed of execution. A node keeps the chain, checks every block and every transaction, and talks to other nodes over the peer-to-peer network. Anyone can run one.
What makes it different is how easy it is to take part:
- Browser mining. You can mine from the wallet page itself.
- Backbone nodes. People who run a node keep the network alive and are paid for it.
- One simple coin. BPC is divisible into 100,000,000 small units, like a satoshi, so small amounts work fine.
How a blockchain works
This section is for visitors who have never used crypto. Keep it to five plain steps.
- A ledger shared by everyone. Instead of one bank keeping the records, thousands of computers keep the same copy.
- Transactions. When you send BPC, your wallet signs the transaction with your private key. The signature proves it is really you, without ever revealing the key.
- Blocks. Pending transactions are grouped into a block. Each block points to the one before it, so history forms a chain.
- Checking. Every node verifies each block and each transaction by itself. A block that breaks the rules is rejected.
- Permanent record. Once a block is accepted, changing the past would mean redoing everything after it, which is why history is hard to alter.
Layer-1 in one line: a Layer-1 is the base network itself. Everything else, such as wallets, apps and exchanges, is built on top of it.
Your address. Your wallet address starts with bp. It is derived from your public key, so you can share it freely. Your private key must never be shared.
Mining made easy
Most blockchains ask you to buy a rig, install software and edit config files. Bazaarpa does not.
Three steps:
- Open the Bazaarpa wallet in your browser and create (or import) a wallet.
- Press Start Mining.
- Rewards arrive in your wallet and show up in your History.
No graphics card, no special hardware, no command line. A phone or an ordinary laptop is enough.
How the reward is shared (current rules):
- The browser miner keeps 30% of the block reward.
- The other 70% goes back into the network as a commission.
- Of that commission, 20 points go to the node that is hosting your mining session, and 50 points are pooled and divided equally among active backbone nodes.
- People who run their own node and mine on it (self-mining) are not charged this commission.
Why it works this way: browser miners get a zero-setup way in, and the people who keep the infrastructure online are paid for doing it.
Good to know: a browser mining session is tied to the node that hosts it. If that node goes offline, the session stops and you start again on another node.
